Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, Catholic Schools Week is so much fun! The kindergarten class is doing a great job with participating in the dress up days and cheering their classmates on during the various events. It is fantastic to see so much shamrock pride. Tomorrow we will have olympic day which is a noon dismissal day. All families are welcomed to come, the events start at 8:15am. The long awaited 100th day is next week on Thursday. Students are encouraged to dress up like they are “100 years old” or “100 days smarter.” Thanks for all of the families who graciously donated baby wipes to our classroom. We have plenty now! I am looking forward to another productive and enjoyable upcoming week with your superstars. Make sure your scholar is reading every night for at least 20 minutes and gets a good night's rest, it really makes a difference. Enjoy your weekend Blessings, Ms. Sanders

Friday, January 25th, 2019 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, This Sunday, January 27th, we will kick-off Catholic Schools’ Week with mass at 11:30am in the church. Kindergarteners will be singing in the choir with the 8th graders. Open house will follow from 12:30-3:30pm. All Families are invited to come. ALL students who attend mass and open house on Sunday to come in their school uniform. Students who attend Sunday in their school uniform will earn free dress on Monday, 2/4. Catholic School’s Week is filled with fun dress up days: Please look at attachment Thursday 2/7 the 100th day of school! Our scholars are 100 days smarter. In only 100 days your kinders have built a loving, forgiving, and helpful class community that they can learn and play in. Many scholars entered kindergarten barely knowing how to write their first names, now they can write full sentences and read books all by themselves. They can add and subtract fluently and are so knowledgeable. Please make sure to help your student at home to create an outfit as if they were 100 years old or 100 days smarter. Reminders: Please turn in your intent to return to St. John Catholic school slips *We are in need of baby wipes! **$25 worth of donations=1 service hour Blessings, Ms. Sanders Thursday, January 11th, 2019 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, This week our stellar scholars learned all about Martin Luther King Jr. We studied the importance of treating everyone fairly no matter their culture, background, or race. You honor me and Ms. Emily everyday when you trust us with your children. The Christmas party was one for the books! It was great seeing all of your families and everyone enjoyed the party! A huge thank you to our kindergarten room moms for organizing, directing, and cleaning up such a memorable event. We are so blessed to have them!
