Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, This week was awesome! The kindergarteners learned how to work together with their classmates as a team. Our class learned how to share their ideas and prove what they know by taking turns being the “teacher” to their friends when discussing addition. They also explained their horizons when we had literacy centers and they were able to work in small group of friends to efficiently get their work done. Halloween is just a few days away! We are having a class party on Halloween and each family is encouraged to come. Our wonderful room moms have sent a Sign-Up-Genius to your emails. Kindly sign up to bring something to our party. The kids have a little surprise performance they would love to share with you. This Halloween your student is invited to wear their costume to school on Monday the 31st as long as they follow the costume guidelines. Please, if you have not done so, turn in your class fund donation so we can continue to have memorable celebrations for our worthy scholars. Congratulations to our student of the week, Liam S. Liam is committed to his work and is a great citizen. He is generous and kind to all of his classmates. He makes smart choices in the classroom and tries his best every day! We are proud of you Liam. Have a fun and safe weekend! Email me at [email protected] . Check out http://mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com Blessings, Ms. Sanders

Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, We had a fantastic field trip! Thanks again to all of the parents who volunteered to drive and chaperone. Our adventure would not have been the same without you. Today the kindergarten scholars explored the pumpkin patch, experienced the hayride, learned about the pumpkins’ life cycle, the different parts of the plant, and the different elements that help it grow. This trip has definitely got our students in the fall spirit and excited to celebrate Halloween! The student of the week is Sage M.! Sage has proven to be a dedicated scholar and a compassionate friend. Every day Sage is sweet to her peers and follows directions the first time an adult tells her. She truly is a model citizen with a positive attitude. Keep up the great work Sage! Next week will be Red Ribbon Week, more details on the 2nd page. Also next week there will be a mandatory Cyber Safety Parent Assembly on Tuesday, October 25th from 7:00-9:00pm in the St. John gym. Free childcare will be offered in the school building and 2 service hours can be earned for attendance. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me or email me at [email protected] . Please take a close look at our class website http://mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com for additional student resources and our new tab “Student Spotlight.” Blessings, Ms. Sanders Friday, October 14th, 2016
Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, As our field trip date draws closer (next Friday) we need to make sure each parent who graciously committed their time can actually go. It is very important to turn in all of your required paperwork to the office or you may not attend. Also if I sent a note home saying that you did not bring in the right amount of money please send it. Deadline for turning everything in is Monday. It would be very unfortunate if you or your child could not experience their first kindergarten trip with their classmates. We are very proud of our student of the week Malcolm V! Throughout the week Malcolm worked very hard to improve his fine motor skills. He volunteered his “quiet time” everyday to practice one on one with his teacher to get better with cutting paper. I am so impressed! Malcolm remembered to use his manners and was respectful to everyone. Keep shining bright Malcolm! Please take a close look at our class website http://mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com for additional student resources and our new tab student spotlight. Soon our class website will be featuring vibrant photos of our kinder scholars so you can take a sneak peek into our daily classroom. Please let me know if you prefer not to have your child's picture on the website. Have a safe and relaxing weekend. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me or email me at [email protected] . Sincerely, Ms. Sanders , Friday, October 7th, 2016
Dear Families, It was so nice meeting with all of the parents at parent teacher conferences! I have seen lots of wonderful progress over the first six weeks of school with our scholars. I have faith in our students’ potential to meet and succeed in all of their goals we have set for the year! As a team, (parents, child, and teacher) we can ensure student achievement to be the very best they can be. Please make sure you are reading with your child every night and pointing out popcorn words, rhyming words, and punctuation marks. I have created a new tab on our class website with additional math and language arts enrichment resources, so check it out. We finally have enough drivers and chaperones to go on our field trip on October 21st! In order to be cleared to be a driver make sure you have completed these items and turned it into the office by the beginning of next week:safe-environment, driver's license, fingerprints, and declaration of insurance (100,000/300,000). Also make sure you are cleared to chaperone by completing these items and turn it into the office by the beginning of next week:safe-environment and fingerprints. Congratulations to our student of the week Leonardo A! Leonardo has shown great improvement over the week. He has been using his manners and staying on task. Leonardo was very respectful this week to his classmates and teachers. Keep it up Leonardo! Please contact me at [email protected] and visit our website http://mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com. Dear Families, We do not have enough parent drivers for the class field trip to the pumpkin patch on October 21st. If I do not get more parent chaperones to drive our students by the end of the week then unfortunately I will have to cancel our enrichment activity. Please let me know if you are available to assist our class so they can experience this fantastic trip. The student of the month for proving she is living out student learning expectation #1 “A student inspired by Christ” is Francesca I! Francesca participates during school and class prayer confidently and enthusiastically. She shows how she inspired by God by being attientve and respectful during mass on Wednesdays. Keep up the great work Francesca! Our student of the week is Jayden H! This week Jayden proved to be a leader in our classroom and a role model. Jayden did an excellent job with ignoring distractions and staying focused on his work. We are proud of you Jayden! I look forward to seeing you all at parent teacher conferences next week. Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the fall festival. Please contact me at [email protected] and visit our website http://mssanderskindergarten.weebly.com. Sincerely, Ms.Sanders |
