Thursday, January 11th, 2017 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed your break with family and friends. We sure were excited to start back school and had an amazing week back, especially with learning fun facts/ playing the poison dart frog game! This week our stellar scholars learned all about Martin Luther King Jr. We studied the importance of treating everyone fairly no matter their culture, background, or race. The students performed a song for the Martin Luther King Jr prayer service for the student body. They did a beautiful job, they honored his legacy, and sang with all of their hearts. Reminder we do not have school on Friday January 12th and Monday January 15th. Catholic School's Week is at the end of the month. On Friday, February 2nd we will have a half day and the students will participate in our school Olympics. Each class is supposed to wear their class color or class t-shirt. Coach Joe has offered to make shirts for our class. The shirts are $10. This is not mandatory but just an option if you would like to have a class shirt. Please send CASH with your child's size by Wednesday. We are looking forward to our upcoming field trip to the Chabot Space and science center on Friday, March 2nd. We will be learning all about science, space, and astronauts! If you have not done so yet please turn in your permission slip, money ($16.25 each), and driver/chaperone paperwork. I need to turn in all the final paperwork and money to Chabot by TUESDAY. Thanks Blessings, Ms. Sanders
