Friday, March 18th, 2018 Room 4 Newsletter Dear Families, Your scholars completed their early literacy test this week! We will be showing the results with you soon. Ms. Sarah and I are working hard every day to meet your child’s needs by individualizing instruction; using frequent formative assessments to monitor progress and adjust our instruction; and create an engaging, rigorous program. But this is a team effort to get your scholar ready for 1st grade. Some ways you must also support your child’s learning include: -Checking homework and making sure the homework folder is returned to school daily. -Helping your child practice math facts to fluency. -Reading with your child often and insisting they read daily. -Insisting on good behavior at school. Our walking field trip is coming up! Please make sure that you have your money and permission slip turned in. If you are chaperoning please make sure that you have all of the appropriate paperwork turned in at the office. Next Friday is Disaster Drill. Noon Dismissal of ALL students, NO SEP after school. Students only released to parents/individuals on student emergency list (parents are encouraged to update if necessary) Students only released to parent/permitted guardian who comes with an ID for formal identification purposes. Blessings, Ms. Sanders
