Dear Families,
This week in kindergarten we reviewed a lot of different kindergarten concepts that we have introduced earlier in the school year. We revisited phonics and blending sounds to create CVC words. Practiced basic math skills and patterns including simple addition and subtraction. Your scholars also prepared for 1st grade by going over key social skills like saying “I feel…” messages to express themselves to their classmates and making sure they raise their hands when they want to share aloud. As the school year comes to a close I want to ensure that your scholars are totally prepared for their adventures in 1st grade! If there are any concepts that your student is still struggling with at home please make sure to let me know if they need any additional resources so we can work as a team to make sure they are successful. Our walking field trip is next Thursday May 31st! Lunch will be provided at the park but please make sure your scholar brings their snack to school for recess. Your student may bring outside toys but no toys with wheels allowed. Chaperones please meet us at the school at 10:25 for a brief meeting. We are looking forward to our trip! Enjoy your 3 day holiday weekend! Blessings, Ms.Sanders
