Toy Donation Drive for Oakland Children’s Hospital Kindergarten Service Learning Project Lent is here and is a season of giving! In religion class we have been covering how Jesus was generous to others especially the poor and sick so now it’s our time to give back! As a service learning project the kindergarten class will be donating new toys to the Oakland Children’s Hospital. Hospital visits are often scary for a child, so we as a class try want to help other kids and their families feel welcome and comfortable during their time in the hospital. Donated toys can help comfort and entertain children during their hospital experience. If your family would like to help donate a toy to the Children’s Hospital we would be very grateful! Have your child help “pick out” the toy to give so they are involved! Due to infection control policies, all items must be brand new. Attached to this paper is a list of items the hospital is in need of. Please bring in these items between March 5th and March 15th to the kindergarten classroom so I can take them directly to the hospital. I will also email you an amazon list of things if you would like to donate items online and have them sent straight to the hospital. https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/3BYIKOQS3M6VF Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Blessings, Ms. Sanders
